Storm of Shot and Shell
If you're interested in weaponry and the Civil War, this exhibition put on by the Chicago Public Library is for you. The Civil War was a definitive turning point in the American history of armory, not only in the production factor but economically and socially as well. The types of weapons used in the war depended very much on wealth, and the North and South were forced to come up with new and improved versions to try and outlast the other. Don't forget to check out the selected items on display, including pictures of artillery projectiles, canisters and rifles and actual photographs from the infamous era.
