10 reasons why the Internet is not a library substitute
Mark Herring, a university librarian at Winthrop University (N. Carolina) has identified 10 Reasons why the Internet is no substitute for libraries, a list recently published in American Libraries, the magazine of the American Library Association.
Herring put together this list of reasons in an attempt to "save our culture and strike a blow for reading." He believes the Web is a great tool, but "a woefully poor substitute for a full-service library."
