Congratulations to Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN)

OPLIN is a great example of what can be done when libraries within a state work together. The site offers easy access to Ohio libraries, local content, current events resources and a top-notch Web guide for kids. OPLIN arranged and paid for the installation of T-1 lines to all 250 main library buildings in the state and pays the ongoing, monthly telecom charges for these lines. The organization has also made it possible for every patron who visits an Ohio library to access EBSCO, NetWellness, NoveList, Archives USA, Ohio Capitol Connection, Sirs Researcher, Electric Library and Sirs Discoverer free of charge. To top it all off, the site is easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye. The good news doesn't stop there -- on January 26, a new, improved version of the site will debut. Check back to note the progress!
