Congratulations to Providence Public Library in Providence, Rhode Island
The Providence Public Library (PPL) in Providence, Rhode Island, has been celebrating throughout the year after being recognized by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as the 2001 winner of the National Award for Library Service. Established in 1875, the PPL runs ten branches with a total collection of more than 1.2 million items. Electronic services available from the library's Web site include Ask a Librarian Email Reference Service and several subscription databases available to library cardholders.
