Congratulations to The Dartmouth Atlas of Health Care
The Dartmouth Atlas project brings together researchers from diverse disciplines to study how medical resources are distributed and used in the United States.
The group's research has revealed that the kind of health care you receive may depend heavily on where you live.
The text of several editions of the Atlas can be read or downloaded.
QuickReports provide state-by-state profiles of the performance of hospital regions on selected measures, such as variations in the use of discretionary surgery.
The site also offers lectures and an outline of major topics.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the American Hospital Association and other health care organizations have provided support for the Dartmouth Atlas project.
