Association for Library Service to Children
The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is a branch of the American Library Association and serves as the world's leading organization for children's services to libraries. With over 4,000 individuals and institutions as members, the ALSC gives out awards, grants and scholarships to those with a primary role in children's literature and library programs. The ALSC presents many programs and events as well, such as the Born to Read project, ALSC Kids!, Every Child Ready to Read project and Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Day.
