Federal Depository Library Program
Most Americans are familiar with their public library and its services. But are you aware of the Federal Depository Library Program? The program consists of 1,350 depository libraries throughout the United States.
Established in 1813, the FDLP's mission is to provide free public access to information published by all three branches of the U.S. Government. Patrons can find information on numerous topics, ranging from careers and legal information to health and nutrition. See the subject bibliographies index for a full list. You can also use the FDLP's site to locate FDLP libraries by state or area code.
If you'd rather stay at home or the office, use the FDLP's Electronic Collection.
To get a closer look, take the Library Programs Services Tour. An abbreviated tour is also available (in Power Point).
