Reach Out and Read

With the goal of helping reduce school absenteeism and drop-outs rates, Reach Out and Read attempts to tackle the root of the problem. Founded in 1989 at Boston City Hosptial (now Boston Medical Center), ROR trains pediatricians and nurses to encourage parents and their children to read together.
